Some of you may remember these guys from the lightning tournament last year. I also played against them for the Reds (2-1 loss) last season.
They have lost their best player (Russ Scottish guy) to Div1 Kambah Rovers and he was their standout by a long way. They may still have Branko playing at sweeper, stopper -reads game extremely well and very good distributor.
The rest of the team are getting on a bit and as such play a lot of one touch short passes. They are fairly comfortable on the ball, don't get flustered and pass their way up the park rather than move with pace. As a result our best approach may well be to hit them with pace, especially into the corners.
Don't expect to put eight past these boys, they are too canny but may well run out of puff in last twenty.

Match Report
Blues v Tuggeranong Old Boys
The top of the table thriller at Mawson ended with the Blues taking the points 2-1.
The game began with Woden settling into their game quickly – good passing in the midfield and building up to attack the Tuggeranong defence. Tuggeranong showed why they are the team to beat this year with a combination of skill, commitment and a strong physical presence on the field (despite their mature years).
Tuggeranong had two near misses (sitters really) in the first 20 minutes – both hitting the goal posts – the Blues were very lucky not to be 2 – 0 down at this stage. Towards the end of the first half a gorgeous cross from Anton was met by a charging Alan W who sent a powerful header into the back of the net.
Following the half time break Tuggeranong showed they were still in the game and quickly levelled with a classy goal. The Blues countered and a shot on an open goal from Tony was intentionally handballed by a Tuggeranong defender who had not thought through his actions fully. The defender was given a red card for his trouble and Mike S put away the resulting penalty giving the Blues a 2-1 lead and the advantage of an extra man.
The game continued with Woden taking more control – but with Tuggeranong continuing to threaten. A great save from Paul M in goals kept the Blues in front. The momentum of the game continued until the final whistle.
A good and enjoyable game, good refereeing, and all Blues players played well. Man of the match was Alan W who dominated all over the field with his strong presence.
